Primary Purpose Responsible for performing the day-to-day operation of commercial insertion to ensure the high quality airing of commercials with high run rates and minimized down time. Process received tapes for encoding and tape continuity. Major Duties and Responsibilities Monitors the audio and video on commercials/avails to ensure broadcasting quality. Maintains tape library and data base files. Troubleshoot the Wide Area Network on issues of connectivity. Distribute schedules to all markets. Dub tapes for clients, Account Executives, Marketing, etc. Modify traffic instruction on insertion equipment for live events to ensure successful billing. Create cue tone reports to determine the best day-part configurations for all networks. Communicates regularly with sales and traffic departments to make sure tape is received and aired. Responsible for down time in systems. Perform other related duties as assigned. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required. Must be available for overtime or extended hours, as needed. Minimum Requirements Experience in a technological and/or electronics setting. Education: High school or equivalent Preferred Skills/Qualifications Training in electronics or media technology Strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize Ability to multi-task and take logical approaches to problematic situations Computer skills including Windows, Unix, Word, Excel, Outlook Knowledge of mass media television, networking, video production Ability to perform visual inspection of commercials Ability to work under pressure and under deadlines, stress management skills Physical Requirements Ability to operate all related repair equipment.
