Primary Purpose – Supervise the personnel and daily operations within the Traffic department This would include the prioritization of department goals, crisis resolution, personnel development and the efficient utilization of available software to accurately execute all processes within the Traffic department. Major Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with management on the selection, training and development of all Traffic personnel. Perform regular connection meetings and maintain performance with all direct reports. Create an environment that encourages open communication, collaboration and the sharing of ideas. Evaluate and research lost/dropped revenue (when applicable) and provide feedback to Sales/Operations management. Assist direct reports in the resolution of complex or out of policy operational issues. Serves as a point of contact for the information exchange with other departments. Assists Account Executives in problem solving and escalation with in the department. Assist in the review client advertising contract within sales automation software for accuracy Oversee the exporting of client advertising contracts from sales automation software into T&B system, confirm contracts are imported, and approved within expected deadlines. Strong working knowledge of both sales automation and T&B software. Assist management with vendor communication on open issues and enhancement requests. Communicate regularly and effectively with Sales Department regarding the status of a client’s advertising schedule, including commercial advertisements that were not scheduled or broadcast as purchased Process and distribute daily notification of missing copy instructions beginning with one week prior to air and up until contract start deadline. Assist in the process a daily verification report and reconcile against client advertising contract. Review and manage unverified spots daily. Ensure compliance of Traffic retained Client Files Full understanding of all SOX, Corporate and auditing guidelines Facilitates communication with MCC, Clients, Ad Agencies, Account Executives regarding late or missing content and video conflicts Assist in the input the titles of client advertisements into T&B system and enter the copy instructions for advertisements airing on the appropriate zone/region, network, date and time Responsible for maximizing billing opportunities by evaluating sold and scheduled inventory and adjusting commercial placement within schedules manually on a daily basis.(manipulating schedules) Performs month-close update processes to facilitate maximum revenue for clients orders. Ensures missing copy is cleared and/or status of missing copy is communicated to Traffic and MCC personnel prior to initiating the final schedule process. Initiates finalization of schedule process. Distributes schedules to the MCC. Initiates daily verification process. Collaborate with management on evaluation and development of procedures within and between departments. Back up direct reports and evaluate workload as needed. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Experience: 2 years supervisory experience 3 to 5 years of traffic experience including experience in a customer service setting Experience in a Media/Cable industry setting preferred Excellent oral and written presentation skills, as well as the ability to handle financial planning and reporting. Strong detail orientation and the ability to analyze and focus on large amount of information during each work day. Computer skills necessary to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Education: High school or equivalent B.S. in Business or related field preferred. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Media Traffic software knowledge Stress management skills Working knowledge of traffic and billing systems and related functions and terms Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks Ability to train, motivate, and develop staff Strong detail orientation. Ability to analyze and process a large amount of information to meet daily deadlines.
