Summary
The Sacramento Marketing & Promotion Supervisor is responsible for supervising internal and
external marketing and promotional efforts in the Sacramento DMA and California Market.
Helps drive incremental advertising revenue by developing and executing customer-focused
promotional campaigns that are targeted and results driven. The successful candidate will be
highly organized, self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work
well in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and be a master at multi-tasking.
MAJOR DUTIES: (May perform any or all of the following duties)
Consult with account executives on key and target accounts to develop strategies that will
meet client needs, deliver results and result in incremental ad revenue. The supervision
of both Local and CA Account Work
Must be able to present promotion concepts and campaign components directly to clients
Work with cable network partners to leverage promotion opportunities and assets
Develop business to business marketing tactics with Sales Managers for lead generation,
public relations and business community outreach
Work with Production to develop on-air, online and in-store creative that supports
marketing campaigns
Book and audit cross-channel marketing schedules, placement, reporting and analysis.
Update tracking reports and recaps to network and clients
Coordinate client, staff and produce promotional events
Manage training of staff and account executives on marketing functions and resources
Responsible for providing direct supervision and oversight to marketing personnel in the
development and implementation of assigned promotion and events
Provides support to the Marketing Manager on coordination of all related marketing
activity to drive budgeted growth and retention objectives
Coordinates activities with management from other departments to align operational and
selling initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Excellent presentation and writing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of public relations
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
