National Sales Support Representative

Comcast Spotlight is developing new media solutions to redefine our business in the minds of our customers and to offer advertisers leading-edge advertising applications that shadow the advancements Primary Purpose - Responsible for providing support to the National Sales Department, in an effort to achieve Company’s sales and marketing objectives.  Candidate must be addicted to a positive attitude, work independently with a high level of responsibility, possess a ‘concierge attitude’ and have highly developed skills with MS Office Suite and other software, ideally to include Strata TIM and Eclipse.  Candidate needs to communicate easily and comfortably with external Clients and with internal departments, including Traffic, Production, Promotions, Research and Finance.

Candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize and communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and in person.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day transfer of orders from Spot cable into TIM. 
  • Check Eclipse/TIM confirmations for accuracy
  • Maintain and follow up with all issues regarding Accounts Receivable. 
  • Responsible for all daily commercial traffic procedures.  Actively pursue missing copy for all accounts
  • Interface for the department with Production on work orders, client approvals, and production billing.
  • Set up new customer accounts as needed.  Collect credit applications, billing address, follow up on credit status for new customers.
  • Perform all contract modifications as needed with regard to missed spots.  Confirm makegood policy for the account, check on-air status, and turn in any necessary paperwork for makegoods and credits.
  • Facilitate co-op documentation as needed on a client-by-client basis.
  • Act as primary resource for incoming leads. 
  • Run all advance time reports, pre and post logs, and other T&B reports as needed by the advertiser.
  • Assist in the request and tracking of research and promotional requests.
  • Maintain client database and information in Saleslook, Matrix or other CRM tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum  Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of sales support/traffic experience
  • Education:
  • High school or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Fast study on software, strong computer skills
  • Successful track record providing high level of internal and external customer service and quality work in fast moving office environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Experience at an advertising agency, broadcast station or cable system is a plus
